40ish miles today. I got moving realy quickly today. I was lucky. I made it to Loft Mountain last night and stealth camped. I was joined by a guy doing some overnighters on his vacation. He offered to slack pack me through the rest of the Shenandoahs. Needless to say I took him up on his offer. I pulled 40 some odd miles today and am with Scott (the guy) at the Skyland Campground. I’m planning on doing another day like that tomorrow and get to the second shelter out of the park, Manassas. We’ll see what happens. I just might be able to catch Woodstock.
The day was nice at least, not too hot and a little breezy. The running was great as the terrain was not hard and very well packed. There were some great views. I’m beat though, so time for bed.
