So, as per usual with every other day of my life, today got started later than I wanted. I didn’t hit the road till about 9:30AM. Fortunately the drive was great. Livingston to Whitehall was packed snow on ice on I-90 but from there all the way to Bellvue was clear or just wet pavement. I did have to make a mandatory stop in Dillon at the Patagonia Outlet. I managed to get out again without spending both arms and my first born which is a significant achievement for me when it comes to Patagonia. After I got past the highway 28 intersection on 22 it started raining and visibility dropped, but it was getting dark anyway. Got into Bellvue and am really excited to hit the slopes tomorrow. They’ve had 15″ of new snow in the last 24 hours with boatloads in the forecast.
Interesting tidbit though, turns out there are a bunch of skiiers here from Jackso Hole. Evidently Jackson got hit with a MASSIVE windstorm which buckled a bunch of power-line towers feeding the resort and part of town and they won’t be opening back up till next week. Despite all of that they’ve already received over 400 inches of snow this season. I’m looking forward to making there in a couple weeks!
